Are there any which carry 6/7 and 8/10 type clothes? My bigger boys are needing whole new winter wardrobes and I can't afford it all new. hoping there's some good resales!

You know, I don't know of much in that size. There's Other Mothers and Kid-to-Kid, but I think those stores usually stock only the smaller stuff. There are a couple of good consignment sales coming up soon, though:

Moppet Togs, which is held in the old Play It Again Sports location at Fairview & Milwaukee, and is occurring on September 18-20; and

Boise Kidsignments, which is September 20 at the Bishop Tuttle House, which is on 8th and State.

Hope that helps!

Thanks!

I saw ads for both of those but don't think we can make it. We'll be down on sep 19th but it's for DH's vasectomy and he won't be in any mood to shop!

Do you know anything about the Deseret Industries on Fairview? Our neighbor said they get kids clothes there, but her kids are still smaller.

Isn't Junkyard Jeans a resale store? Its on Broadway. I'm not in Boise so I don't shop there much, but I did go in there once years ago. They had lots of stuff then.

I don't know much about Deseret, but there's also a Goodwill on Overland near the WalMart, as well as the Womens & Childrens' Alliance resale store, which is in the north end. The WCA store has goofy hours (you'd have to Google it to know for sure), but you might find higher quality stuff there...

I was just visiting Boise last week and was excited at some great finds I got for my daughter! At least in the girl's section at Other Mother's there were amazingly low priced (in comparison to new and in comparison to retail stores in Portland) and totally in the sizes you are mentioning. It would be worth a peek. Check it out!

will do when we're down next. which Other Mothers is it? is that on Milwaukie?

We went to the Deseret Industries on Fairview yesterday and it was great! I ended up with 11 shirts (all 3 kids and myself), 1 skirt, 2 pair jeans (kids) and a bunting for the baby for $50 and it was all in TOP shape. I love how they're layed out too with it all divided by size as well as color and easy to find.
