If anyone has been down this road, could you please give me some pointers?

Thanks!!!

I used to be a part of the St. Johns Homeschool Preschool, but now I live in the Mississippi/Humboldt/Alberta Neighborhood...anyone else out there???
Google brings up this for soy yogurt. Might be a fun project for you. And you could always visit one of the recycling centers. I bet the people that work there have field trips all the time and could give a little explanation.

Yes, and I really prefer sleeping up off the floor. Vastly prefer it. So yeah, I'm glad the guy blew me off.

The customer service lady at Ikea was really helpful today. She gave me all new hardware for the bed, when all I needed were some screws to replace the ones that were stripped. But they'd redesigned the bed since I bought it, so she gave me replacement parts that would be easier to install. Whew! That's a relief. Mind you, I haven't tried to deal with it yet.

Tiff, I'm sorry you were treated like that. But I'm glad everything looked normal!

Really exhausted, starving and too tired to make anything, but I need to anyway...spent hours at the old place, and it's still not done! Boy, do I have a lot of carp.

We didn't get the place. They had already rented it out by the time we turned in our app.

That sucks! I guess things are pretty competitive though, especially in good areas with good prices. I hope something better comes along soon.

Tiff, I sincerely hope you didn't think I thought you wanted to have cancer. I was merely comparing the experience to that of an audition scenario... as in the coldness of it, and how it was certainly not at all the appropriate way to treat the situation.

Thanks for the sympathy. I didn't intend on looking for a place on this trip, so I didn't bring my checkbook. So I saw the place yesterday, but had to wait to turn in the app until after I got a check from the bank this morning. Seriously, I turned it in at 9:00, and it was too late.

Candice, I'm really sorry you didn't get that place. I hope something way better comes along for you anyway.

I hope that bed comes together for you, Beth.

Hi!

Camping I would love to go. I agree with Susannah about the cooler months.

Ikea We were there this evening forever trying to figure out a futon replacement for Shawn. He sleeps on the futon in the living room everynight and I move back and forth throughout the night between him and Sophia and the bedroom. So he really needs one that is comfy and firm since it is used every night, not just for the occasional overnight guest. We found one we liked but then got all confused so ended up empty handed. Also we discovered the 50% off furniture room and found mattresses in there that we were considering but were confused about which frame they would or wouldn't go with. Plus Sophia was losing it. Meanwhile our wood futon at home has a huge crack in it held together by duct tape. Anyone buy a futon at IKEA they are happy with? Or not happy with? We would buy one off Craig's list or take a free one but people are not willing to deliver and we don't have a truck. IKEA will deliver.

Chocolate Cake We've eaten almost the entire thing in four days

Potty Learning We are SO THERE! : Sophia is in panties almost all the time in and out of the house and has had one accident in 2 weeks. She seems to be pooping alot more than when she was in diapers, inexplicably.

Tiffany I'm so sorry about your lousy doctor appt. I hate when people are stupid.

Candace Sorry about losing that house. We are looking into some programs with the PDC to help us buy a home. Some of them we qualify for and they look really promising. I always have my eyes open for good rentals too.

Guess that's all. I start work (childcare) this week but I'll try and stay caught up!

Nico locked me out today. Very scary. Let's just say I broke something down. He was playing with tinker toys when I got in.

I'm so sorry that woman hurt your feelings, Tiff. What a complete ass.

K good. I've been paranoid about making people mad lately, so I'm glad I didn't.

Does anyone know if you can eat the seeds from Mangosteen? I bought some dried at Trader Joe's, and the seeds are still in the fruit, and hard to separate out. They are crunchy and have the consistency of a brazil nut, but I've been spitting them out because I'm afraid to eat them. This would be a lot easier if I knew whether or not they were.

Yeah...the shed has a combo lock...that can be my lock box.

Again, I'm exhausted and having trouble falling asleep because my back hurts.

Picking up the boy at 3:00 tomorrow. I can't wait, I miss him so much.

Ryan has a lot of futon experience too. It's not what you're asking for, but I recommend Rock Soft Futon, on Hawthorne. They have nice, affordable futons with a lifetime guarantee on the frames. And they will restuff the futon for $25 a layer if/when it flattens to the point of no return. Since every futon ever made will eventually flatten, it's a pretty good deal. We've done that once in the 3 years we've had ours.

I'll put you on my mental yurt list for June/September

Aren't they kind of expensive? I will check out their website. A lady on craig's list is trying to sell her futon from Cotton Cloud for $400 OBO. It looks super nice. I'm going to call her and offer $200. Shawn thinks that's somehow rude cause it's alot lower than she's asking but I'm like "it's Craigslist". If she's offended she can just say no. She says she's moving and is desperate to be rid of it sooo.... I'm kind of squeeved out about taking other people's mattresses though if I don't know them.

If I go outside now, I have to make sure I have the keys with me. Even just to get the mail. Eleanor thinks it's funny to close and lock the door. But she is always standing right there. It would freak me out if she ran off and starting playing though.

Yeah, my keys are only ever in one of two places. My hip pocket, or the hook by the back door. Or... if I have no pockets, it goes in my bra.

if you end up with purchasing a futon or bed or any furniture off of craigslist, please look for bed bugs. Carson has been watching Verminators on discovery or tlc, anyways, it's not something you want to bring into your house.

okay back to your regular scheduled program :

Leslie-mom to Carson and Madison :, Sage Tree :, and Buckbeak, Tonks, and Luna

We're looking at buying a full-sized mattress for Chase, and were thinking of buying off Craigslist...just how do you check for bedbugs, anyway??? Are they really obvious?

That is SO awesome!!! We brought one of those seats that go on top of the regular potty and Jake has used it once so far, to poop. It was so nice to have poop go right into the toilet

Jake did that to me once, too. Luckily Mike was home. Although at that time the doorbell wasn't yet hooked up and I had to ask Jake to go and get Daddy, so he ran up to his Daddy and signed "knock knock". Mike thought he was joking for a moment but then went and found me standing outside the locked door.

Tiff -- that really sucks about the crapiness you experienced. You would think all medical personnel would have to undergo ethics training! I hope you do write a letter.

Candice -- hope you find a great house somewhere!

Wow, Jake actually let me sleep until 7 this morning!
