So, our DD was born just a few weeks ago on the 14th. And, we have theater tickets coming up in the near future. Obviously, we need to find a sitter. Neither my husband nor I have family in the area, and our friends are all childless couples who don't really have much interest in babysitting.

How does one go about finding a babysitter then? I'd prefer someone at least 18 given how young our DD is, and I also want to find someone who's not going to just let her cry.

Or, are we crazy for even thinking about going to the theater in two weeks?

sci-fi loving, theater loving, lawyer mama.

What day and time are you looking at?

This is a tree on fire with love, but it's still scary since most people think love only looks like one thing instead of the whole world. *

We have tickets for the 15th and 17th (those are Wednesday and Friday, right?) So, we'd be looking for someone from 7PM-10PM on those days.

I don't know if they still do this, but Seattle Pacific used to give out a list of students who wanted to babysit if parents requested it. (Once upon a time, I was on that list...)

Looks like it might be too late for this time, but it might be worth giving their career office a call; I believe that's the department that put the list together.
