Pros Cons
  • Sturdy, Attractive Colors, Rubber Grippers to prevent sliding
  • Awkward to carry around, Pinches,

This was my son's second potty seat. We have it in red. He used it, at first. Quite willingly, actually. I'd sit him in it in front of the window, and he'd use it while watching outside. And then...one day... he suddenly started screaming when he was on it. I couldn't figure out why. For a long time I thought it was because the seat was cold. I figured warm baby bottom after being in a diaper, meets cold plastic seat. So we actually went so far as to squeeze OURSELVES onto it and sit on it for a few minutes to warm it up before putting him on it. He was still not pleased.

He'd use it, if I insisted, but the instant he was done he screamed louder to be taken back off of it. It made me feel like a terrible ECing parent, because it's supposed to be a gentle practice, and here I was...setting my child on a potty so he wouldn't soil himself, and he was MISERABLE about it. A long time later after researching what the internet had to say about the best potty seats for toilet training, I realized this seat might have pinched him. I also find it awkward to move around. Not very ergonomic for my wrist.

The insert liked to sometimes stick to his thighs as I was lifting him off of it, and either fell back in place and caused a wave of urine to splash out, or just decided to hit the floor completely. So yeah... for the price? Not impressed.

I'm going to be taking this to a second-hand shop that accepts potties. Hopefully a child will get better use out of this than we did.
