Pros Cons
  • Fair Trade, Organic
  • allergy risk, oily residue

I use Dr. Bronner's coconut oil during the winter instead of typical baby lotions. There is only one ingredient and its organic/fair trade. The only problem with using it is if you have an allergy to coconut. Since my son and I have sensitive skin its really nice to have a moisturizer that doesn't clog our pores especially during the winter. This product can also be used to make toothpaste, as a hot oil treatment for hair, a makeup remover and can be cooked with. If you use too much of it and don't let it soak in there's an oily residue until its either soaked in or rubbed off, but considering its the only thing that doesn't break us out and it has so many uses I think that's a small price to pay.
