carriereads While I usually hang out in the Nighttime Parenting or Health forums, I've been lurking here for a while, and always been nervous to post! I now have a request, though, that I think may spark some interest.

I am currently working on a book about why women choose natural childbirth. In it, I am including stories from women about their reasoning behind this choice.

The vision for this book is to increase awareness of birth options, to encourage women to follow their instincts when it comes to their birth and their baby. The hope is that by sharing our amazing birth stories, more and more women will become open to what is possible for them- the empowering and transformative power of natural birth.

If you would like to contribute, or know someone who would, I can give you more details.

BTW, A little about myself….
I am a Mothering kind of mom to Elle, 20 months. During my pregnancy, my mother and I co-wrote a book called A Child’s Way: Slowing Down for Goodness Sake. In the book, readers are encouraged to find their own heartfelt wisdom and to enter into a new way of thinking about childhood and parenting. It is written from the possibility that just as we hope to help our children reach their full potential, they too encourage us through their very being to reach ours.

I am so thrilled to be able to share all this!! It's like a dream come true! Thanks for allowing me to introduce myself…..
