They're a year old! I can't believe how time flies. DS is crawling everywhere and standing up a lot but no independed walking yet. He's still breastfeeding like crazy (he's on the "drip" practically all night) but he likes his solids, too, as long as it's not just plain vegetables with no sauce or anything else added. We have been doing baby-led weaning with some success. He still can be a picky-eater, contrary to all the promises of the baby-led weaning advocates on this front.
He's now in the point-and-grunt stage and is pointing at everything all the time to tell us that he wants to reach it, touch it, play with it, etc. Oh, and he puts everything in his mounth (except plain vegetables, of course).
How are your one-year olds doing?
Oh, anyone have a recipe for a good, not-too-sugary, no artificial colour birthday cake for one-year old?
