Thanks Scowgirl! I am confident they will be. These are little fighters in here. Also, staying positive is vital.

Deborah--glad to hear all is well so far! I hope you have a great New Year and things continue to be OK for you and the babies.

Also, it appears the cramping was bowel cramping. Glad I figured that out this morning and did what I had to do :-).

Good news! They said it's still totally normal as long as there's no red and I'm not doubled over in pain. They also said it's especially common with moms of multiples since we have to do extra growing. Shew!

Spotting turned pink (but, luckily is gone now), but I'm feeling more intense cramping Not much I can do at 5 in the morning. It's not bright red so I don't think it warrants an emergency room visit especially since the spotting is now gone. Hoping the cramping is just bowel cramping in disguise. Will call the clinic again right at 8.

The spotting is back (still brown, but the Dr. said not to lose any sleep over it, especially since we've had several excellent ultrasounds. She's said that the progesterone suppositories can be very irritating to the cervix and may be at least partially to blame (in addition to all the stretching I'm doing.) It's amazing how much I've grown in just the last week and a half. I will post here. My DH said "You went splody!" LOL. The Dr. also said it was possible I had a yeast infection (since I was feeling irritated in the cervix area) and that Monistat might help (I wondered about this too, but it's been 14 years since I've had one, so I wasn't sure). So, essentially back on modified bed rest (no parties for me tomorrow night). I'm now going to have to reschedule my acupuncture for the 3rd time!

Here's a comparison. The top picture is 8 weeks 6 days and the bottom is 10 weeks 2 days. I've only gained 3 pounds but look like I've gained 15.

Awww, that's a great photo!

I'm talking about down south, possible uterine infection. The midwives think I'm probably okay because apparently your milk doesn't come in if there's still a bit of placenta in there, but she's my third baby and it seemed like a ridiculously small amount of flow. I never had a pitocin shot after the first two births (the guidelines for home birth have changed since they were born) so maybe that's made a difference and I'm just paranoid. If I'm still worried at my next appointment, I'll go for an ultrasound.

She's so cute!!! And the nocturnal thing won't last long. *Hugs* When you say "flow", are you talking down south or up north???

... My new fav. Taken tonight.

I really need to take more pics of Stephanoodle... I don't think of picking up the camera because she's nocturnal and I'm so tired when she's at her most active! She makes the funniest faces, though.

I've been drinking RRL tea like crazy, my flow stopped at 5 days PP and I was still having bad cramping. I've had some weird chills where I was shivering so hard I could feel it in my spine, but no fever. So it's wait-and-see and hopefully it doesn't turn into an infection. The tea helps get things moving a bit each day & I think it's helped prevent it so far, but I've been really cautious about how much energy I expend because I'm already pretty tired just from taking care of the baby and I don't want to be more worn out than necessary if I do get sick.

DH just took the big kids out to the mall to exchange my keyboard and spend their Christmas money... maybe I'll play photo shoot while we've got the house to ourselves!

I had nothing. And I mean NOTHING until I got carpel tunnel around week 24. After the carpel tunnel, I had nothing. NOTHING else until I started swelling around week 34/35.

Hi Everyone! It has been a crazy busy week... I'm trying to work from home so my girls don't have to go to daycare during Winter Break. It's been a challenge to say the least!

I was told when I called to get a midwife that it would take up to 4 weeks for them to review my application so I made an appointment with my GP. What a waste of time. After waiting 1.5 hrs, he told me to pee in a cup and confirmed my pregnancy. Gee, thanks. Tell me something I don't know. So he then told me he no longer does prenatal care and that he will refer me to an OB. Um, no thanks.

Luckily, a few hours later a midwife called from the sparkly new birth center my city just built saying she would love to take me on. She knew my previous midwife and thought we'd be a great fit. Yay! So my first appt is January 18. Can't wait.

TTC--That smiley pic is adorable!! Awwwwwww.

ETA: Just placed an order for some maternity clothes. I'm only 12 weeks, but it seemed like in the last couple days, my tummy got noticeably larger. (I'm sure the holiday eating habits aren't helping. Sheepish.gif) Could use some more comfortable jeans so I decided to take the plunge and try some maternity ones.

TTC- I imagine I'll have more of them, but I did end up having to get some maternity clothes yesterday (way fun!) and the phlebotomist was surprised that it took me this long since I have 2 in there. I happened to have lots of clothes from when I was heavier which made it easier to transition, but alas they do not work anymore. I got a couple of cute dresses, two pairs of pants, two shirts and a maternity/nursing nightgown that happened to come with an adorable elephant onesie that matched the nightie.

Hi, ladies.

FF- You're up there. Here's my official welcome. =D

Deborah- I had a nasty, painful stomach growth around week 20, so it makes sense you're expecting yours around week 10 since you have two of them in there. LOL

AFM: My first week back at work is going well. I started taking Fenugreek to help up my supply so I can pump more and I went from getting 5oz in an 8-hour shift to 8oz yesterday. =) 3oz increase in one day. Heck yes. I've been able to gather up enough breastmilk so far that my LO hasn't needed supplemented at all! YAY! I even have two extra bottles in there right now. I'm going to need to buy more bottles soon. No one bought me Medela bottles like I registered for. O_o They all bought me bottles you use for formula and I can't store milk in those.

I also had a girl give me 7 CANS of Gerber Good Start Soy. Her daughter won't take them and she offered them to me. I was like, "... I don't formula feed but heck yes I'll take them. Just in case." You never know. I might quit BFing at the 6-month or 9-month mark whenever he still needs some and then I won't have to buy any for awhile. I love free. I don't really have a plan right now for how long I'm going to BF. I'm kind of on autopilot at this point.

School starts back up next week. My life will officially be at my "new normal" then. I'll be doing school and work like I was before... And I'll also have my cute little Conner Dean. Let's hope I can survive. lol.gif

Last night was Conner's second night in his own room. Wahhh. My baby's growing up way too fast. He's almost 9 weeks old. He's sleeping from 9-3ish before a feeding now so I figured it was time.

AND, as always... Here's my swarm of pictures. God, I'm such a Mom.

In the car:

FF- Yes, it was a lot of fun and I'd love to get back into it at some point, but I'm a little preoccupied right now growing these little ones! I am having some major cramping that started last night and some spotting last night only. DH and I did attempt to DTD on Friday, so that probably is part of it, but the nurse also said it's probably the major growing I'm going to be doing in the next couple of weeks (like soon going to have a baby bump). I wasn't real worried, but it was nice to have the reassurance from a medical professional. She said a ton of stretching will be happening between 10 and 12 weeks (I hit 10 weeks tomorrow). So, I'm essentially on modified bed rest today and drinking a bunch of water. The old: put your feet up, take it easy and drink LOTS of water. I have blood tests Thursday to make sure my hormone levels are still good (they were fine this past Thursday). I will see my OB on 1/4.

TTCCoC - How about just "FeralFox (Tris) - pregnant with #2 on the first try!"  Oh, and my EDD is 8/20. orngbiggrin.gif

Deborah - That's very cool.  Husband and I were both very active in our drama company in high school, but we both stuck to backstage work.  We're not the type to get up in front of an audience and do anything (except shiver and go white as a ghost).

12-26-2011 09:04 PM
deborahbgkelly

FF- Not in a theater club (we didn't really have one), but I performed in the chorus for fiddler on the roof (at the community theater) my junior year,  in the play "Moonchildren" my Senior year, and I went to theater camp in my Junior and Senior years. I also was in a Hispanic Drama class in college and we performed for the rest of the college. So, I guess I was pretty active in performing arts. Oh and I did all the musical review type shows we had at my high school. On the heartbeat note, I remembered that it tends to rise very quickly and then regulate at 11 or 12 weeks (I believe).

Hooray for weird pregnancy dreams!  Were you in the theater club in high school?

Today (I'm a day sleeper) I dreamed that I left my husband for Daniel Craig, who in the dream really was some kind of secret agent or something.  He put me up in a cabin in the middle of the woods, and only visited me when he could, which was once every few weeks or so.  In the dream I had decided that I didn't want the baby after all, and that my husband was too irresponsible so I didn't want him either.  I guess that's my deepest fears coming out.  At least I had Daniel Craig to console me!  He's really good in bed, btw. ROTFLMAO.gif

FF- It's possible, but there is absolutely no scientific evidence that there is a correlation between heartbeats and gender (just an old wives' tale, but a fun one!). DH is rooting for girls and I keep feeling boy, so who knows. Although, I did have a dream that I was showing off my two little girls. Of course, a few nights later I had my first real pregnancy dream: a dream about a theater competition or test or something at my high school with two ladies who were from different years (one was in my class though), one of whom was basically managing the whole thing and the other was my partner and we had to go first. It was in this huge gymnasium (ours was the tiniest thing you ever saw), but the school is moving into much larger facilities so maybe it was supposed to be the new gym. Very strange!

Maman, you're here!  OMG, huge congrats!  I've been so spaced out in pregnancy land that I have totally forgotten to check back on the One Thread, and forgot that this one even existed.  I am so happy for you!  I knew your time was coming soon!

Deborah, 180 is pretty high - maybe you have a couple of girls in there!

Oh, and you can add me to the intro please!

Janellody- My babies already got gifts and I'm only 9 1/2 weeks! They got cute little stuffed puppy dogs. I will take a picture later, but we had to hide them from Peaches (our dog) who seemed to think they were for her.

Haha, it's weird cuz to me it was SO CLEAR but I saw the actual video while it was getting taken, I have had others ask what we are looking at and I am like CAN'T YOU SEE????   Hahahha, so I guess until you know what you are looking at, it's hard to tell lol :)

And by the way, every time I look at his little face I just wanna cuddle him, I can't wait to meet him, he is so cute!!  He got spoiled already by his grandparents who go us some good baby stuff and my mom got him his first little outfit.  I got my hubby a cute onesie that says "Handsome like daddy" and he loved it <3   Deacon is moving all the time now, too so I get to feel him at least 10+ times a day.  I love my little man!

For those who can't tell what my ultrasound pic is, it's a profile of him with his arm up by his head.  So it's just his head and arm in this picture and he is looking left.  Hope that helps!

Thanks Scowgirl! DH was funny, he thought the babies looked like spaceships now and I can kind of see it. Maybe a nursery theme?

Deborah--congratulations, they look great! Twins are so cool. I am so glad they are doing well.

TTC--I hope the bleeding stops--that sucks.I was hoping this would be a pill that you could tolerate since you said you had trouble with the estrogen.

AFM--went in for my first trimester screening today, and everything looked good! I still need to wait on the results of the blood test, but the doctor said the NT measurement was very good. It was stunning to be able to see the heartbeat and see the baby move. I feel silly now, but I guess I didn't realize they moved around so much at this age. I couldn't see the screen that well because of the angle, but the doc was pointing out details and DH could see everything really well. He said he could see the baby's tiny fingers and everything. We were so happy! What a terrific Christmas present.

Happy Holidays, everyone! love.gif
