I edited my post because I think I misunderstood your question...I do have experience with Shady Grove midwives and yes I found them (I met with 4 and talked with one on the phone at L&D) and the hospital itself, (the nurses in L&D I met) to be more "medically" involved. I did switch out of their care at 37 weeks because I didn't like it. It could be her experience working in the hospital, I know one midwife at Shady Grove was not like that, but I only met with her once, she did give different answers then the others, but then she left during my pregnancy.

Bmorefarmgirl Does anyone have experience with the midwives at shady grove vs Kathy slone's group at mercy? The newest midwife with Kathy's group came from shady grove and she seems a bit more "medical" (for lack of a better term) than the others in the group. Wondering if this is because of the way things were at that hospital vs mercy, or if this is an individual thing.
