|mommyammons||So...I think an update is in order Martha? Tracie?|

|Traci652013||Lol! Then you're a seasoned twin mom who has been through it all! I'm sure your advice is valued among the new moms of multiples on here.|

Thanks, Traci - but my "babies" are 18 years old and in college!
I like to pop in here once in a while - I sure wish I'd had Internet forums when I was pregnant! Hopefully i still have some support and advice to offer.

|Traci652013||I'm aware there is no supportive evidence that split eggs are genetic. Thanks I just have to question it when in 4 generations on my moms side (all descendants of my great grandma, who is an identical twin herself) there are 6 sets of twins 3 of which are identical, and 2 sets of triplets (1 set two eggs released and one of them split; 2nd set one egg split 3 times). All natural. Chance or not... They run in my family! Lol.|

|Rrrrrachel||FYI, identical multiples are not genetic. The older you are and more babies you've had apparently the more likely you are to have them, though.|

|Traci652013||Thanks Mommyammons! I'll keep that in mind. No matter what happens I'll be happy to have a healthy baby. If there are two, great! If not, I won't be dissappointed. I am a little worried about fibroids or cysts. I can only wait and find out on Tuesday.|

hmmm....my uterus did measure big with baby number 4, but it wasn't until later in pregnancy (around 25 weeks) We did an ultrasound and discovered that I had excessive amounts of amniotic fluid. Which in turn resulted in a large baby 9lbs 3oz. I actually looked like I was carrying twins and often heard the comment "are you sure there is only one in there?"

:) I will. You do the same ;)

|Traci652013||I know Martha! I read your thread and am anxiously awaiting your results! Don't forget to update as soon as you know!|

I'm in the same boat. My uterus is now up to my belly button and I'm only 13w 5d. I have myself convinced that I'm carrying twins based off of that AND a couple other symptoms. I'll be shocked more if I'm NOT carrying twins than if I am. Good luck to you. I wont be finding out until my 18 week scan. Seems forever away when you are anxiously awaiting a head count ;) LOL

|Traci652013||I feel crazy to automatically think twins but my symptoms have been so extreme from my first two pregnancies that I immediately started to question why. So when my uterus is the size of a 13 week pregnancy and I know I'm only 8 weeks I feel like its twins. Did you have any feelings before you found out? Any indication?|

At 10 weeks, I measure 14. My doctor asked "Are you a month more pregnant that you think you are?" I knew I wasn't. We did an ultrasound that day to take inventory. Sure enough! A double blessing!

|Traci652013||Hi all! I'm new here so any input anyone has would be great. I'm 8 wks pregnant and as of last Friday (I was 7wk 2d) at my dr. apt My uterus measured 13 weeks. I know my dates are accurate because I charted and my cycles run 28 days like clockwork. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I have a 4 yr old son and a 2 yr old daughter and those pregnancies were like night and day with the differences and I actually knew I was carrying a girl the second time because of the differences. Now, however, this pregnancy is throwing me completely off. I've been completely nauseous since 9 DPO and it's heightened since my 6 week mark. I wasn't nauseous at all with my son and only threw up occasionally when I ate something he didn't like or smelt something I reacted to. With my daughter, I was nauseous 24/7 from 6 weeks to 14 weeks but never threw up. And now I'm nauseous and throwing up all day long everyday. I have to take my prenatal vitamin at night just to keep it down. I've been able to feel my uterus above my pubic bone since my 6 week mark. I've never measured large or been able to feel my uterus with my other pregnancies this early. Twins and triplets run on my moms side and my oldest sister had identical twins when she was 25. (most multiples in my family history resulted from split eggs.) Anyway... My question is... Has anyone experienced larger uterus this early in pregnancy? Could it be twins? My ultrasound is on the 30th but I'm curious to hear what you all think. I'm kind of freaking out about it. Please help.|
