lilacvioletiris Yeah, being unable to control everything is somewhat disconcerting. A baby changes everything is so cliche, but absolutely on the money!

FTMom One thing I have learned in my mothering journey so far is at any given moment of the day all I can do is take each moment as it is and try to make the best decision for me and my child. I had all these grand plans before Z was born and almost none of them have worked out, but my son is alive and healthy. Another lesson in how little control I have on a day to day basis!

journey fan Thank you everyone. I am trying to walk as much as I can but some days after being on my feet for 10 plus hours im so exhausted after work. That's my big problem is I work 10 to 12 hr days restraining animals and running around im pooped by the end of the day. I try not to look at the scale. Im trying my best to eat healthy. Congrats on all the babies everyone they are all so cute. joy.gif

lilacvioletiris Olivia and Zander are adorable!

On the weight gain front, I only gained 20 pounds, but I was on the gestational diabetes diet for last 3 months and when I weighed my self a few days after birth I was already below pre-pregnancy weight. I have lost 25 pounds since the babies were born through breastfeeding twins. I drink a lot of water and haven't really been watching what I am eating but need to since my weight loss is leveling out now. I am 14 weeks pp and my belly is stild pretty pronounced. I can get in some pre-pregnancy pants but others I think will need to be passed on. I just stopp d wearing maternity pants last week.

Baby Zander!

FTMom Hello All! I have been so busy with my son Zander born Feb 5. He's healthy and happy but we had a rough start. I had labor onset preeclampsia and needed a c section, which ended up becoming infected while Zander stopped breast feeding. I got him back on breast feeding two weeks ago but it has been a rough few months.
journey fan- I wouldn't freak out about gaining more then the drs think you
Should. I gained but tried to be very careful with what I was eating. At my last checkup the midwife was saying how great I did with my weight gain. I would just try to eat healthy and exercise daily and don't worry about the scale. My son was born at 42 weeks and was 8lbs 10 oz. Take care and deep peace.
Lilac and the rest of the mamas- congrats. Your kids are adorable! Any thoughts or tips in weight loss? And how long is it okay to wear your maternity clothes after your kids are born?

abiyhayil Our sweet Olivia Grace arrived Friday morning. I had a typical hospital birth, my water broke Thursday night at 8:30. I felt a bit funny after picking DH up at work so he drove home. (We car share and I had a prenatal appoint that afternoon and he was supervising a basketball game) As soon as I got out of the car, my water broke. We got to the hospital at 11, still no contractions. At around 1 I got an epi and started a pit drip. At 6a they turned it up and that's when I could really tell the epi didn't quite take. My right side down to my ankles had that heavy novacaine feeling, but my left was completely normal. I could definitely feel ctx and that pushy feeling. Two pushes was all it took, she was born at 6:51 with a loose nuchal chord. She was purple all over, but ok. I was relieved she tolerated the interventions and arrived safe and sound!

Ps I can't figure out photos on my iPad I'll get a pic up soon redface.gif

abiyhayil Steffanie, I've been wearing control top pantyhose with my muslin baby wrap on top. Wrapped like a bengkung. I only get around twice, but it feels nice and supportive

Lilac it has been a quick three months! All three of you look healthy and thriving joy.gif

lilacvioletiris Ihad a maternity support strap that I got for Motherhood Maternity. Not sure if something like that would help.

Awww, sweet little guys :)

I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a super plus mama for belly binding, I am 39 weeks and babe is not staying on my cervix (I get contractions while reclining and pressure is on cervix).  I am thinking some kind of improvised Rebozo.  I am doing lots of hands and knees to get babe into a good position as well as chiropractic and seeing a foot reflexologist today, but I think if I had something supporting my uterus up where it needs to be would be good.

They are soooo gorgeous! My little guy eats constantly too. He's such a chunka munka, my only chubby baby. :yum:love

Congratulations on the new little ones!  I guess having my babies out and about and growing has kept me busy.  My sister took some Easter pictures for me last week.  I am so excited that I am down to 221.6 pounds from my highest pregnancy weight of 270.  My boys are 12 weeks old.

William on the left was 7 pounds 10 oz at birth and at his last appointment was 11 pounds 8 oz. Edward on the right was 6 pounds 2 oz at birth and now weighs 11 pounds 11 oz. That little man eats all night long. William has started sleeping through the night so I don't think he is getting as many calories as his brother.  It is exciting to see them grow!

journey fan your almost there abiyhayil smile.gif I hope you feel better soon. I heard walking helps a lot. I did tell my family and they took it better then I thought but I have to say only person that enjoys the us pics is my sister. I get my anatomy scan in a week and a half! I'm excited to see baby and hopefully find out what my lil peanut is. I get so happy to see the baby just reassures me.

abiyhayil Aw your Prince William and Prince Edward are too cute! joy.gif

I am 34 weeks now and starting to feel exhausted and achy. I'm waiting for a call to schedule a growth scan, which I'm a little eh about since it is my understanding that they are not very accurate. It seems like a way to "confirm" that you're huge and so is your baby eyesroll.gif.

Journey Fan have you shown your family your u/s pics?

lilacvioletiris Life with newborns is getting better! Last night was the second night my son William slept for 8 hours! Heavenly! I had to feed my younger son Edward who weighs 8 oz less than William after 6 hours but all in all it was a great night's sleep! They are 6.5 weeks old. William was 9 pounds 12 oz and 22.75 inches long at his dr appt and Edward was 9 pounds 4 oz and 22 inches long. They are growing and eating lots!

journey fan Thank you ladies.... US did come out well. .. doctor thinks right now maybe its little capillary veins bleeding that's not too serious, since baby looks good.... so that relieved me. Its very scary but glad they think all is well.
01-20-2014 01:44 PM
ReadingMama A friend of mine has had a few bleeding episodes. They couldn't figure out why, but baby was always fine on ultrasounds. Eventually the hospital technology found a tiny tear in the placenta. They told her most little tears heal on their own, and that she needed to take it easy for a week or so.

Just sharing a possibility that didn't mean anything scary for my friend. Wishing you complete wellness and comfort, journeyfan.

abiyhayil Thinking of you journey fan hug.gif When I was early on, I swear I could feel my uterus changing, it was subtle but definitely there!
01-19-2014 05:41 PM
lilacvioletiris I know it freaked me out especially since they could find no reason for the bleeding. Hope all continues to go well.
01-19-2014 10:34 AM
journey fan Thank you.... I pray everyday baby will be okay. Thats what was with me. Baby is ok and they are not sure why I bled. I'm on bed rest for a few days. Thank you for sharing makes me feel a little bit at ease
