|OSTC||Why "Cutting out anything w/ calcium (mag supps) just prior"? I drank a homemade labor aid drink w/ cal/mag last time among other things as I thought is was good for cramps/muscle pain and my previous birth was wicked painful... Had a completely pain free labor, but the Afterpains just about killed me. So I'm just wondering what the reasoning is behind not taking cal/mag?|

I used Clary Sage essential oil on my feet when my labor was well established. DD was out within 20 minutes of application.

|Selissa||Walking and a technique on spinning babies that involves lifting the uterus durong contractions really kept my labor productive...I also did use labor prep herbs, not so much to go into labor sooner but to make sure my uterus was in prime condition|

I'm a grand-multipara beginning to prepare for the birth of my 6th child, 3rd UC. I've attended 2 years worth of births as a homebirth assistant/apprentice, so I have some ideas on how I can maximize my chances for an efficient labor (us "old", veteran birthers tend to "putter".... ;)), but I want to be sure I'm not missing anything.
Things I am/will be doing:
Webster technique via chiro
Cutting out anything w/ calcium (mag supps) just prior
Red raspberry leaf tea
Any other suggestions I've forgotten?
