CameronsMama I know a couple people who have used this one. You can register for anything online from any website, I think.

Norabella www.TheThingsIWant.com allows you to register for any item that is available online (and I think even to manually enter items, so you could potentially list things available at local stores, and then people who were so inclined could go find them). I know there are a few others that do as well, but when I checked some out (b/c I have the same issue w/ my baby registry) I thought this one seemed most user-friendly.

IdentityCrisisMama Does anyone know of a service that handles a wedding gift registry that people can use to support smaller businesses, artists, unique boutiques and things like that?

For instance, my friend getting married is unlikely to want stuff from the big stores that have registry services and I thought it would be nice for her to register for things like a turned wood salad bowl from a small on-line shop, a piece of art, organic bedding and etc.

Thanks for your suggestions!
