melissa17s Boric acid and borax are related, but not the same. You can find boric acid at the hardware store in the pesticide section. Silver fish eat paper, dust, and old dried food, so it may help to clean up any old books or such, if you have them.

InstinctiveMama Any suggestions for ridding my house of silverfish? I read on an old thread that boric acid may do the trick. Is boric acid the same thing as borax? I have lots of that for laundry.

Thanks!
