ShineliketheSon So sorry for what you've had to go through. I am encouraged by reading all these posts about the support you've gotten here. I've had concerns of m/c these last two weeks, telling my 3 year old who is so excited would be so very hard. I said a prayer for you, your husband and your children.:

riversong I'm sorry for your loss. From reading your posts, it obvious that you are very intuitive and in tune with your body. I hope you find yourself pregnant again soon.
09-11-2008 01:32 PM I am so sorry, Guin. You will be missed in this ddc. Good luck to you and yours.

it feels more like the loss of a sweet and beautiful dream, the dream of our next baby
Oh my gosh, that just made me burst into tears. Our babies really are dreams, dreams that float by, until finally one floats down to earth and embraces life. I think of the air today, moist, cool, fresh, the smell of dreams waiting to come true.

Carlyle Oh I'm so sorry. I hope the m/c goes as smoothly as it can for you. That sounds stressful. I'm glad that you have such a great intuition though. Good luck on your next ttc!

kai28 I'm so sorry Guin, but its good that your trust in your body is still intact. For someone who is so in-tune with herself to think she's loosing that ability must be very frightening, like loosing one of the senses.

Its sounds like a good thing to be proactive about the D&C. Doing always seems easier than waiting for the unknown to me. Treat yourself well.
09-10-2008 12:28 PM
AngelBee How long are you waiting for the D&C?

: for you

Polgara1111 I'm so sorry for your loss Guin.

I too had a blighted ovum my first pregnancy. I found out at 8 weeks and began miscarrying at 10 weeks. In hindsight I wish I had gotten the D&C because I bled for 3 weeks straight and then had no period or ovulation for 6 months. i found out later I wasn't supposed to bleed that long. So a D&C at least controls a lot of that.

Take it easy and nurture yourself.

darkblue0729 I am so sorry mama, I wish you luck in TTC, and please know that you have my deepest sympathies.

racie0417 Guin, I aam sorry that this pregnancy didn't develop and hope you find closure soon so you can pursue your dream again.
09-10-2008 11:09 AM
*Amy* Guin, I am so sorry that you are going through this, but I understand how you are feeling. When I had a blighted ovum, I also felt much less grieved because I knew it never was a "baby."

I hope your D&C or m/c is as easy and painfree as possible for you. I will miss you and be thinking of you in the days to come.

honeybunmom I'm sad for your loss, but I can understand how a blighted ovum (I'm guessing this is what you had) can seem like less of a loss than an embryo - but I'm also happy for you that this situation just confirmed your confidence in your God-given sense of "knowing". We should all be so alert as to heed it. Be well!

And since my instincts are what saved Sophie's life, I now put a lot more stock into them. Finding out that I had imagined/misinterpreted the dread I spoke of at the beginning of this post would have made me lose a lot of confidence in my ability to read my body. Does that make any sense?
I understand that - it makes total sense. You are very in tune with your body; you definately need to listen to those instincts.
You are in my thoughts.

trimestersdoula Oh, hun, I am so sorry! I was really REALLY hoping that everything was fine. What you are saying about your intuition, gut feeling, instincts etc. makes absolute perfect sense. I am sorry about the loss of your pregnancy but sooo happy that you were right on and knew exactly what was going on. Best wishes to you, mama. I hope you get a new hope very soon.

I read a story once where a little child told its mother after her miscarriage that it was ok because that baby that was supposed to come wasn't ready. The next time she gets pregnant that baby is first in line to come to this world.
