That sounds really good! How do you make the beans?

I'm cooking for the first time in a week (was on a business trip for most of the last week) and I'm so excited about eating delicious home made food again! The food on my trip was abysmal. So I'm celebrating being home again my making pasta bolognese from scratch. :-)

kitchensqueen Husband is working tonight, so I'm making one of my usual favorites that he isn't overly enthusiastic about - kale and white bean pasta. I'm not sure if we still have Italian sausage in the freezer - if we do, I might throw in some of that with it.

I was pretty excited because I got a bag of kale on sale yesterday because it was close dated, so dinner tonight is going to cost about $2 for at least 8 servings. $0.25 a serving for dinner - yes, please!

crazyms Oh wow applejuice you are on a roll. I haven't even thought about dinner yet today! I'm just about to start breakfast as I've still got a kid just starting to show signs of waking up for the day. I guess I need to think about dinner though. The kids mentioned wanting spaghetti so I might pull out some meat and do that tonight.
