Babina's Mommy I never came back to update, wow I'm a butt. So, it looks like it's going to be the Lakes Region I am moving to. Husband is already working there, me and kids are here still but hoping to move very shortly. Hey, dancefree, I love Lincoln and that's where I'd love to be! Maybe, eventually.

Hi I'm in Lincoln. Any luck with your move?

Babina's Mommy

Hey New Hampshire and Vermonters! I posted here before about relocating but now we are closer to doing it and I am inquiring about different things...I am currently in RI.

In most ways I still haven't gotten much accomplished. I've talked to an employment security person and talked to a couple of businesses about my husband getting work, but so far nothing has panned out.

We are looking to move to the White Mountain region but are open to surrounding areas as well. I have some cousins in Sheffield, Vermont and am considering parts of Vermont. Lakes region...anything!

Job searching is not easy! My husband is looking to work in construction (experienced in operating heavy machinery and such) and/or a tree service as he has a lot of experience cutting trees. He has experience in agricultural work as well but it doesn't seem to pay a lot. Weird as it sounds, he has worked all of those areas at the one and only job he's had for 16 years since he was just 14 years old in a business he's been at that's run by a few relatives (not close ones). He's a really likable person and willing to do just about anything. I know that it's going to be hard to get work in another state especially if people have enough trouble keeping their own residents employed. But we are still trying to make it happen.

We are also hoping to buy a house up there in a year or so...but for now we need to rent. We are a family of five, three kids under 5, and could make it work with a two bedroom (our home is only a two bedroom) but three would be good. And have a little tiny older dog.

We're kind of stuck, the relocating thing is hard when you don't live somewhere, you know? We were considering just going up and living at a campground for a couple weeks if we need to.

I'm just looking to see if any of you have any leads or any information on anything. Tips, advice, etc.

Also if you want to be mama friends or playdate pals when and if I finally get up there. :D
