Is your push mower self propelled? There is that option, and there is a wide range of those some take most of the work away from you if your yard is flat. Some are electric though might need recharging halfway through and might not handle it if it gets tall. My DH loves the riding mower but our yard is twice yours. Eco friendly options? If allowed where you are, landscape the whole thing with only a tiny lawn left everything else could be edible or decorative plants and mulch or pebbles or pavers, or get livestock that graze.

We have over an acre lot. I've tried to use an electric push mower, and I just can't come anywhere close to keeping the yard manageable. I've been thinking about a riding mower, but the environmentalist in me cringes. Any mower recommendations?
