stormborn Aw, don't feel bad, she doesn't know what she's asking for. If it helps, our 5yo wants us to get a divorce because "It's not FAIR that A. (her cousin) gets TWO Mamas! And I only have you!" Gee, thanks a bunch, kid. wink1.gif

A 3 year old doesn't really know what they are saying, maybe ask her what it is about daycare that she thinks would be so fun... it could be as simple as she saw a craft her cousin did at daycare, and she doesn't realize that you can get her some glitter glue and pipe cleaners. My son who is 11 now said something like that when he was 3 or 4 and it was that one of his friends from preschool had a trampoline... I had told him we don't have money for a trampoline and he was just making a helpful suggestion. Yep, helpful. The other thing is, she will change her mind. Same son has said it would suck to have to go to daycare, he likes coming home after school and not to someone else's house with a bunch of annoying kids.

mamazee Hugs! I remember one of my kids saying that, and then I was involved in a flurry of volunteer activity and did put her in a daycare for a short time (about a week) and she was glad when it was over. "They tell you what to do all the time!" Well, yeah, when you're dealing with a large number of children, you have to keep control. She was an only at that point and her interests kind of led our day.

She might be cranky from the bad sleep too. Take care of yourself!

ParadigmShift All I can say is hugs and that is one precocious 3 yr old you got there.

newmamalizzy That she wants me to get a job so she can go to daycare.

I tried not to take it personally, but DD has had two nights in a row of 3 hour wake ups. I'm exhausted, cranky, and this was just too much. Still feeling teary. Why am I bothering if she's not even content? Sigh. Sniffle.
