I use OsoCozy premium prefolds as well. Mine are all stained. I accepted that fact a long time ago and I don't really care if my diapers are stained, as long as they're clean. When my son grew out of the infant-sized ones, I bleached them (with many many rinses afterward) before storing them and that took care of some of the stains. But like I said, I don't mind the stains so much as long as they're clean.

OsoCozy premium prefolds. I'll try Borax. It should be safe for the covers right?

Try using the full amount of detergent.

What am I doing wrong here? I'm following the instructions exactly as given by the local store where I bought my kid's diapers: pre-rinse, followed by hot water wash with 1/4 the normal amt of detergent (I've tried All Free and Clear, and Sun brands) and double rinse and they always come out with stains. Leaving them out in the sun removes them, but do I really have to do that every time? TIA for replies.
