JamieCatheryn If I had nothing but Swaddlebees I'd be happy. I think they're called Blueberry Basix now and have new features, our diapers have gone through a few babies. Actually I think this AI2 thing wasn't available 8 years ago I'm not so familiar with it. Anyway that's if money were no object. I'll splurge and buy a full set of whatever perfect diaper my daughter-in-law wants when the next generation comes around in a decade or two.

Galatea I've CDed 4 babies and owned a CD store and guess what I'm getting for #5 ? Prefolds and covers. Everything else is expensive/fussy to wash/ill-fitting at some point in the child's growth.

porcelina That's what I went for! I wanted AI2 and I wanted one size that is adjustable as baby grows. I tried Grovia and softbums, and Grovia was better quality by far. I love their AI2s, especially paired with the stay dry inserts, but also love their (bamboo) prefolds. I often use them under a cover--only issue is making sure that the snap for the soaker is covered by the prefold so it doesn't rub on baby. But two newborn prefolds are more absorbant than the soakers in my experience, so I could easily be convinced to just use prefolds and covers.

If you could have any cd….?

I am working on my registry and I am wondering if you could have a stash made up of any type of diaper, what would you choose? I am thinking I want to do a all in two type diaper or pre folds. All in ones seem like too much to wash/dry every time for me. TIA!
