apeydef I then found Debbie maccomber sp? Who is a popular romance novel writer, writes clean novels. No sex. They aren't spiritual but at least they are clean. She also has a show on hallmark I stated watching. Anyway that was just a side ramble lol

I will try tomorrow when DH is at work lol. I am interested in hearing it. I have been guilty of reading romance novels in the past that are questionable but was convicted if it last year.

apeydef Welcome! I really enjoy focus on the family but dint often catch it. My daughter also loves odyssey.
Naz the few minutes I heard were talking about how woman don't often voice their sexual needs often turning to pornographic type things like the fifty shades of grey type books. Like I said though I had to turn it off bc I had the kids but I'll check your link.

@praisehimau I also have the same problem with my almost two year old. He won't go in any class and I end up just walking around with him. I haven't been to church in a couple months mostly bc of this and I haven't been going consistently really for two years when my church at the time broke apart. It took me awhile to find a new church as I was pregnant at the time and then having a young baby made things hard. I'm still not feeling at home with my new church. However that's my fault bc I have not gotten myself involved. It was a hard thing for me when my old church fell apart as it was very sudden. I think I'm Still healing. I have a five yr old , 22 month old and one on the way

praisehimau O, and I don't mind focus on the family, although they seem to repeat a lot of the programming here.

praisehimau I'm new to this thread and to the forums. I hope it's ok to join here. I am a Christian as is dh. I have 3 children aged between 10 and 4 and it's tough right now. We attend a more traditional service and it's tough finding ways to keep the 4 yo interested. We tried Sunday school, but both our girls found it boring because they already know most of the stuff taught and in many ways are ahead of most of the sunday school kids.

3lilchunklins I'm curious about the focus on the family bit. And I don't think I've heard of that bible study...

So were officially moving this weekend (FINALLY) Lots going on here. I only have a min to get on here because I'm nursing DS for his nap.

Nazsmum apeydef- I started listening on the website...not sure what she is getting at? Women & porn? maybe? Not sure.

So, the same friend wants me to go to a bible study The Truth Project? I'm guessing it is explaining the truth from the bible's point of view?? Anyone do this study?

I will be quiet now....Blessings

Nazsmum Happy Friday

"Oh, what can I compare this generation with? They're like children sitting in the marketplaces, calling out to each other,
'We made happy music,
but you wouldn't dance!
We made sad music,
but you wouldn't cry!'
For John came, fasting, not drinking -- so they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came, eating freely and drinking wine -- so they say, 'Aha! A glutton and a drunkard!' A friend of Tax-collectors and sinners!' Well, the proof of wisdom is in the actions it produces."

Nazsmum Chunk - I know you have a lot on your plate. I am praying for you and baby.

apeydef- raising godly tomatoes? I will have to look that up. I think a good person to read/listen to is Elizabeth Elliot. She is old school and takes about training a child.

apeydef Sorry chunk your week sounds like mine :/ I'm still around too, just preparing and shopping for school. DS is better now. My poor legs are giving out. My varicose veins are worse than they've ever been with my previous pregnancies. Other than that I feel so Blessed to be pregnant and having another child and I am feeling very good. Dd attended a soccer camp again this year that a church puts on down the road and she won a bike!!! It was so cute and she was so happy. She prayed about it so I think that made her even more excited.
I have been on a website called raising godly tomatoes. The lady is a Christian and has 10 children (maybe more now) and has her book on this website with great disciplining advice. She follows a lot of attachment parenting techniques but some that are not either. However everything she does is bible based and I have been following some if her disciplining tactics and I see a big difference in dd. Just thought I'd let you all know. I know many of us were having trouble with our 5/6 yr olds! The book is all Printed free on her blog/site. Definitely worth checking out.

3lilchunklins Sorry, I have been totally distracted this week! Getting everything in order, and researching herbs I need to start taking for the 3rd trimester, and we have some family from NJ visiting. DD has lice, DS3 has pink eye and the croup so I'm dealing with that too. DH is thinking about renting a different building for the church. Sooooo much going on right now!

Nazsmum Trust is all we can do. The Lord is in control of all things.

Ultrafighter do you go to a Messiah congregration? Do you have a favorite ministry that you like?
I have a messianic devotional that I love.
08-28-2014 01:42 PM
ultrafighter I'm here!!

This is a season of change in our lives all over the place... my dh has decided to take a demotion and move to part time so he can be home with our son during the day (I work at home so it will be the 3 of us yay!), and I had to tell our nanny that she'll be out of a job in a few weeks. I hated that, but I know that our Father will take care of her and her family. DH will have the chance to go back to school, and he's even thinking about changing his career path to become a licensed therapist. And our housing situation is still up in the air, but I'm not worried about that either.

The Hebrew month of Elul started on Tuesday night, which is usually a time for introspection and making amends. The fall holy days of the Bible are in just a few short weeks. I'm really working to keep my focus off of all the changes going on and just trust.

Nazsmum Where is everyone???
08-27-2014 06:37 AM
Nazsmum And this is my prayer: that your love may more and more overflow in fullness of knowledge and depth of discernment, so that you will be able to determine what is best and thus be pure and without blame for the Day of the Messiah, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Yeshua the Messiah -- to the glory and praise of God.

Nazsmum Had a very good talk with the pastor. Leaving a church with love.

apeydef DSs fever has broke and he seems to be feeling better. His temp reached nearly 104. It's so weird it got that high but nothing else was wrong. I normally do not do Motrin or Tylenol but he was so lethargic and once I gave him the Motrin he seemed so much better.
I am sore after my fall, but no spotting and baby is moving so I think I'm ok. I have an appt next week so if anything changes I'll just go in early.
Thanks for asking and for the prayers it was a rough day and night but today is a new day!!! Thank you Jesus.
