Good for you!
Remember, it won't always be easy and you will have run-ins with people who disagree with you. Just keep standing up for what you believe in, no matter what it is!!!!

That is just awesome! I remember feeling very overwhelmed when I took my new dd to her 2 month appt. They made it very difficult but we stood our ground and she is now 5 and totally vax free! It got easier as she grew up and by the time ds came along, our ped. had accepted us not vaxing and didn't give us any problems at his 2 month check up.

broodymama and no shots for DS! I was worried but it ended up being a nonissue. The doc said "So, he's here for his 2 month well baby check and.... <pause> vaccinations?" I told her that we wouldn't be vaccinating and that I had brought a copy of my religious exemption to go in his record. That was it, no hassles or questions, unlike the ped at his 1 month appt that belittled me and tried to scare me to death. I switched to the medical clinic on base now and am happy I did.

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I rarely post in this forum but read it all the time - thanks for educating me and helping me trust my mama instincts!
