tayndrewsmama I have three. My favorite is Prescription for Natural Healing. It's WONDERFUL!!!! A must have. The other two are Prescription for Herbal Healing and the Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine. I have been told that they are just a good, but I just got them yesterday, so I haven't read too much, but so far they seem to be comparable to the first.

mum2be My all time favorite is "Healing With Whole Foods" by Paul Pitchford. He tells the healing properties of foods and uses an eastern medicine approach. I've been using it for 4 years and have found it to be so beneficial.

jnwilliams I have bought several and haven't found one I just think is the best. But I do like Mommy Diagnostics by Shonda Parker. It is easy to read and has lots of recommended reading. It is also relatively inexpensive.

for sore throat she recommends rest, humidifier, Zinc lozengers(23mg every 2-4hrs), hot chicken soup, and Echinacea (500-1000mg every 2-4 hrs)

I also recommend any lemon tea and lots of water and vitamin C enriched foods.

Much prayer to you and your crew that you all get well.

Slingin'Momto4 Could you please recommend some natural healing books? I would love to get one but not sure which one is the best one out there. Thanks so much!!!!

Oh, I think I am fighting off strept throat, do you know what I could do to help fight it off? I do not want antibiotics as I was on them 2 mths ago for NOTHING : Because they *thought* I had an infection! My 8 yr old and my 5 yr old also have strept as well.
