Yes...they cannot make you use pain relief. Depending on where you're delivering they may offer constantly or not at all, but you never have to accept.

I go through it with mine too (19 mo). It's a lot better now but there were times it was very frustrating. I've just always said "Gentle". If she gets rough I pull her hand away and say gentle again....
