Our dd started sleeping good 5 to 6 hour stretches at night at about 6 weeks. Some do, some don't. I would go by your baby's cues, as a pp stated, as long as everything else is okay.

Take ibuprofen or naproxen. It will diminish the pain enough so you can nurse, and for me the reduction in inflammation helps the plugs resolve better/faster. Very little gets through into the milk....
