My understanding of a balanced literacy program...

My understanding of a balanced literacy program is one that uses a comprehensive approach: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. It's how I want my children taught. :)

I'd push for 24 observation too. A couple of weeks ago my dad had horrible chest pain and then fatigue. He went to the ER, his symptoms went away and almost all of his tests were coming back normal....
