To me, "discipline" also carries the connotation of self-discipline. I discipline my children as they learn to discipline themselves.

"Training" has the connotation of being what you do to dogs....

I don't think any differently about maternity wear than normal clothing. I prefer natural fibers because they feel better on my skin and are less likely to make me sweat in a way that smells bad.
