our crib was origninally side carred to our bed...

our crib was origninally side carred to our bed on the frame, but when we rearranged our room we decided to get rid of the frame we are still able to have the crib side carred with just the box...

I can't speak for all futon mattresses, but the futon we sleep on when visiting my aunt is plenty firm and posed no trouble for cosleeping for us.

I agree with the others... my middle ds would not sleep out of arms during the day...most of his naps were either in a sling or in a baby swing. If your sling is hurting you I'd also recomend trying...

I nurse while they're in the sidecar or half in and half out with no trouble...sometimes i have to scoot him over to nurse if he's too far over in the crib. I have over supply and have to blockfeed...
