I did have my midwife strip my membranes at 41 weeks with my second baby. Went into labor a few hours later. Really short, fast, intense birth. BUT...probably wouldn't do it again unless necessary...

I think she was referring to prenatal check ups since she's doing a freebirth (unassisted childbirth and doing her own checks/monitoring at home), not necessarily prenatal vitamins ;)
