My understanding is that most of the hb midwives in the Twin Cities do the PKU screen. I would have your friend call one of them. Jeanne Bazille was my midwife and she does *not* do it standardly...

Honestly, I found night time diapering for newborns not to be a big deal. My daughter pooped so often that I was changing her at least 3 times a night anyways. The kissaluvs worked just fine for us....
