You are absolutely right. I have 3 years left and there is a big stamp in the plastic that says do not use after 2014. That gives this car seat a life of about 6 years.

depends on the kid. DD got hers at 26 months and i regret not getting it much earlier. She would have loved playing with at 18 months. It is one of those great investment toys imo.
