I got through bite injuries through nursing laying down and have LO upside down, with baby feet by my head. I think I tried pumping once with a breast injury. Ouch.

Look into birthing at The Farm in Summertown, TN. Fabulous midwives there. It was covered by my friends insurance when a homebirth in her state wouldn't because of the laws.
