The Free Milk Foundation came out of the research conducted for the book, What Every Pregnant Woman Needs to Know About Breastfeeding: Real Moms Tell It like It Really Is. The book takes a look at the real experiences of breastfeeding women. In conducting the research for the book, the authors recognized the need to reach out to those who may not have access to resources and products that help make the breastfeeding experience both a successful and enjoyable one. Nursing bras, nursing pads, breast pumps, freezer bags for milk storage, and healing ointments are just a few examples of the tools necessary to women breastfeeding today.
