Pos or Not

MTV Networks' Peabody and Emmy Award-winning college network mtvU, and the Kaiser Family Foundation, in partnership with POZ Magazine, recently launched the new online game, Pos or Not.

The purpose of the game is to address the stereotypes and stigmas still associated with HIV/AIDS, more than 25 years after the first case of the disease was reported.

The participants are people from across the nation. Some of them are HIV-positive; some of them are not. The players are all of you who visit the site. After looking at their photos and reading some facts about each participant, you see if you can tell who is pos and who is not.

By demonstrating that you cannot tell if a person has HIV merely by how he or she looks, Pos or Not openly address the stereotypes that keep people from using protection and getting informed, while also providing material to make sure you're in the know.
