Board Signature Allowances
The board signature feature allows you to place a signature that will appear at the bottom of each of your posts. Your signature can include personal information about yourself and family, links to pictures or your personal (non-commercial) website or page, a quote, etc. Please respect the diversity of this community and do not use the signature feature to make statements that are offensive, related to abortion, or sexually suggestive. Please do not link to graphically disturbing images, or place things in your signature that reflect disagreements or issues within the board community. Inappropriate signatures will be removed at the discretion of the administration and the member in violation may lose the signature feature privilege.

Users who have paid for signature advertising may place links to their own charity auctions in their signatures provided that they stay within the 2 line maximum limit. A user who does not have signature advertising but would like to promote their own charity auction may request permission to advertise in their signature by contacting administrator@mothering.com.

Formatting your Board Signature
You may format your signature with fonts and colors and place smilies within it but please do not enlarge the font size or exceed two post lines of single-spaced text (moderators are permitted beyond two lines for board announcements and community helpful info). Please do not place an excessive number of smilies in your signature. Smilie use does draw on bandwidth so please help us conserve.

You may place and edit your signature through your user cp by clicking on Edit Profile and placing the signature you wish in the text box.  The language of the message board is in vBCode. If interested you may click thru the link to familiarize yourself with how it differs from standard html code.

Information and/or Resource Sites
Non-Profit websites or personal sites created with the intention or mission to relay information and/or list resources for the community may not require a paid Business Signature Package.

Please read below to see if your website meets the requirements.

• Any member with an established 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organization is not required to purchase a Business Signature Package to display the URL of that site in their signature. Please contact administrator@mothering.com with verification of eligibility before placing the URL in your Signature Package.
  
• Resource sites and/or information or advocacy sites may be considered non-profit if the site in question is purely informational and does not generate any income for the site owner. Income could be defined as revenue from banner advertising, affiliate links, subscription sales (as with an online magazine site), as well as links to personal retail pages.
