It's not been long as my time ticks since I sat where you sit and stared at the sky, hearing new songs in my head. I remember more than you know, but know less, for our knowledge is new and sharp and crystal-sure. Your questions don't shock except that they come from your lips and I often forget how many years since I wondered that. I cherish your generation because you are in it, but more than that, because you are my bridge across that widening gap.
