Muesli

By Peggy O'Mara

You've probably seen muesli cereal at a grocery store. Here's an easy, tasty version you can make yourself.

Article continues below

  • 2-3 cups raw oats
  • 2-3 cups cow's, rice, or soy milk or cream
  • honey, brown sugar, or agave nectar to taste
  • handful toasted walnuts
  • handful raisins
  • 1 sliced apple

Combine oats and milk or cream in large bowl. (Cream makes it really flavorful.) Soak overnight in refrigerator. In the morning, add more milk or cream as needed. Add sweetener, walnuts, raisins, and apple.

Serves 4.
