How much is a subscription to Mothering?
A one-year subscription (6 issues) is $22.95
A two-year subscription (12 issues) is $37.00
A three-year subscription (18 issues) is $51.00
Add $5.00/year for Canadian postage
Add $10.00/year for all other foreign postage
How often is Mothering published?
Mothering is published 6 times per year; January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October, November/December.
Why am I missing an issue?
There are a few reasons you may have missed an issue of Mothering:
1. You may have moved and we do not have your new address. The Post Office will only forward magazines for 60 days. After that, they are destroyed. Please contact us with your old address and your new address so that we may ensure that your next issue of Mothering reaches you. You can do so at circulation@mothering.com or 1-800 984-8116. You may also use our Online Address Change Form
2. We have made an error. Please contact us at circulation@mothering.com or 1-800 984-8116 and we will be happy to correct the error.
3. Your issue may have been lost in the mail. This does happen occasionally. We are happy to assist you at circulation@mothering.com or 1-800 984-8116.
How can I change my address?
You can change your address online HERE
or by calling 1-800-984-8116 between 9am-5pm MST. Be sure to include you OLD address and zip code as well as your NEW address and zip code.
How many issues do I have left in my subscritpion?
Check the upper right hand corner of your mailing address label for the date of your last scheduled issue.
How can I give a gift subscription?

Someone gave me a gift subscription and I already have a subscription. Does that mean I have 2 subscriptions?
We will begin your gift subscritpion after your present subscription ends.

Why did I get an invoice when I have already paid?
If you receive a billing invoice or renewal form after you have already sent your money, don't worry. It is most likely that the two letters simply passed each other in the mail. If you are concered, just send a email to circulation@mothering.com
I subscribed over the web. Why did I get a bill?
Sometimes customers send in a renewal card, forget they did, and then subscribe over the web. If this is the case, you have subscribed twice and are receiving a bill for the second subscription. Email circulation@mothering.com or call 800-984-8116 to cancel the second subscription.
Why do I get so many renewal notices before my subscription has ended?
We send out 6 renewal notices because our consumer tests show that monthly notices started early in the subscription get the best results. If you renew with the first notice, you won't receive any others.
Why are the magazines sometimes at the newsstand before I get my copy at home?
Most distributors take a couple of weeks to get the magazine from their warehouse to the retail store. Our shipping schedule anticipates this delay. A few stores may get the magazine directly from us and may put it out immediately.
I subscribed and received my first issue but no others.
If you checked the "bill me" option on the subscription card, we will send you one issue and then wait for payment. If the invoice is not paid, we will put a hold on the subscription until we receive payment.
When will I get my first issue?
Because we are a bi-monthly publication, it may take as much as 6-8 weeks to receive your first issue. There may be a wait for the next issue to be printed and mailed.
I work with new moms. Can I get free issues of Mothering to distribute to my clients?
We will donate free recent back issues for you to distribute to your new parents. All we ask is that you pay for shipping. To request free issues go to www.mothering.com/shop/bulk.html.
