Video: Baby Mamas - Put a Sling On 'Em

Check out this rockin' ode-to-babywearing video entry from Leigh Pennebaker for the Sakura Bloom Triathlon Round Three contest. It's a take on Beyonce’s "Put a Ring On It." Want to sing along? You'll find the words in Leigh's "Behind the Scenes of Baby Mamas" blog post.

About Leigh Pennebaker:

I was raised in an unschooling family in Star, Mississippi, and moved to Manhattan eight years ago.  My husband and I have two children (both born at home, both currently breastfeeding) and we joyfully babywear, cosleep, and unschool.  When I became a mom two and a half years ago, I decided to take a break from my work as a sculptor and I have since channelled my creative energy into blogging (at http://www.marvelouskiddo.blogspot.com) and playing alongside my kids.

I fell in love with babywearing when my first son was about six months old and I purchased a Babyhawk Mei Tai.  It revolutionized my life and enabled me to run around the city so freely and comfortably with my baby.  Since then, I have become a bona fide baby carrier addict, and have accumulated quite the babywearing stash!  My family and I enjoy using everything from the woven wraps to our trusty Ergo, and I can't imagine life with out them.  I love having my baby so close to me and I love being able to breastfeed so readily!

I have to admit that I really had never gotten the hang of using a ring sling until I was chosen to participate in the Sakura Bloom Triathlon.  However, now that I have had the pleasure of trying out their incredibly beautiful, comfortable slings, I count them as one of my favorite babywearing options!  I adore how easy they are to put on an adjust, and of course the fact that they are so pretty that they function as an amazing fashion statement!
