I think this is the right forum for this. Here's hoping!

I am looking to put together two kits of herbal remedies, one larger one for our home to treat basic injuries, aches/pains, illnesses, and postpartum concerns, and another small one that I can carry in my bag with things like Rescue Remedy, arnica, etc. in it.

I am not terribly informed on herbs at this point and would love some help setting these up. Are there any good books that break down what herbs/remedies do what and what dosages should be given for adults and children?

What do you have in your homes and what purposes do they serve for you? How did you learn what you know?

Peppermint essential oil is very popular and offers useful benefits. The peppermint plant is a versatile plant and has its importance in different areas since ancient times. Instead of relying on any kind of substitute to gain benefits of this plant you can make use of this essential oil to get benefited from it naturally. To freshen your breath you can put a drop of this oil in water and swirl it around your mouth. During summers you can add a drop of this oil on your fruits and feel refreshed as it contains the touch of mint flavors. You can use this oil to massage on your joints to get relief from joint pain. Also, it can be used to get relief from a headache. This essential oil help in promoting hair growth and get rid of dandruff as well.
that some essential oils can work as a complementary therapy to treat anxiety and stress. This is about the effects of essential oil on health conditions including hypertension, depression, chronic pain, dementia, etc., which concludes that the evidence is not convincing enough to say that aromatherapy is an effective therapy for these serious health conditions. So let’s get on to the next part, on how aromatherapy works. thanks have a good day.

Curcuma is real magic

I use curcuma in food, for cosmetic masks, and even add it to the henna with which I color my hair. It may be very helpful during winter, you add it to your tea, or just eat with honey. A bit bitter, but the effect is worth it.

That's true. From my experience, essential oils, like argan, avocado and almond ones are perfect skin and hair supplements. According to Mystraightener, it also serves as a natural heat protectant to use with flat irons.
