I have been noticing int the time I've been there that I have some favorite people here at MDC. Not even people I know IRL. It's more the I totally agree with pretty much everything they say. I am NOT mentioning names here just because I don't want people to feel left out.

Do you have favorite people here as well?

In the short time I've been here I have found a few "favs." Three people in particular. I don't always agree with them, but I have come to develop tremendous respect for their opinions. And their humor If I see that they've posted in a particular thread, I always check it out. But I haven't actually started cyber stalking them. Yet

I wouldn't say FAVORITES, but there are those that stand out and I enjoy their posts, thoughts, input etc.

I think the idea of "favorites" makes this board all the more cliqueish, and it's already cliqueish enough. (Is cliqueish even a word?!? Well, it is now.) Of course there are people with whom I identify more strongly than others, people who post things that are more in line with my own thinking, etc., and those whose posts are always an education for me. But I get really tired of the "in" crowd thing around here sometimes ... makes me feel like high school all over again.

Sorry if I upset you. I really was trying to find the right wording. Guess I should've searched a bit harder.

Nah, no worries. You don't need to apologize! You didn't "upset" me. It's just something that generally bugs me about these boards, and life in general.

Good. I sometimes stink at finding the best way to drive my point. Thank you for being forgiving of my mama brain. Too many late nights lately.

I don't know if i'd call them 'favorites' but there are some members who seem to be wise or just outright wonderfully kind.
The list grows regularly.

I have one favorite who I disagree with on a lot of things, but who posts such interesting and well-articulated points of view that I get excited when I see that she has posted. And even though she gets criticized and sometimes in very rude ways, she is never rude back to those people.

I also have favorites that always make humorous and intelligent posts.

But since no one is naming names, I won't either.

There are about 8-10 mamas that I really love. Usually someone becomes my "favorite" (or whatever less loaded word) if they are really intelligent, funny, supportive and friendly.

Although the well-timed stinging sarcasm of some other well-known posters certainly has its place, too!

Hey, I had to drink gallons upon gallons of Ovaltine to earn that ring.
