Hi,
We have been planning on adopting when we where done having kids. However somethings have occured that make me want to bump up the timeline a bit. We have picked philippines because my dh spent more than 2 years there and is fluent with language and culture and thought we would be able to give them identity in that direction. We would like to start in fall 2006. Are there any adoption agencies that work just with philippine adoptions or do all agencies work with foriegn and what is approx cost? We have heard about 16,000. And does moving just before adoption make a negative difference? Is there anything I should be starting now to work with our time line? I appreciate any help.

There are relatively few adoptions by US citizens from the Philippines. The only agencies that I'm aware of that do adoptions from this country are Wide Horizons and Crossroads. You can get general info about adoption from this country from their websites at http://www.whfc.org/adoption/philippines.asp http://www.crossroadsadoption.com/pa...9/default.aspx and from the State Dept. website at http://travel.state.gov/family/adopt...untry_437.html

Good luck!
