Can baby food be preservatives free?


There are a lot of decisions you make as a parent that can affect the health of your kid, and what to feed them is one of the biggest. And there is a lot of debate regarding does baby food can be free from preservatives.
First, let’s see What are preservatives
Preservatives are natural or man-made chemicals that are added to foods to stop them from spoiling. The nutritional value of the food decreases because of adding preservatives to it.
The side effects of Preservatives includes
1. One of the harmful effects of preservatives could be a trigger for breathing problems, asthma, bronchitis.
2. They could contain BHA and BHT food additives which could be cancer-causing.
3. Preservatives could cause obesity.
4. It can also cause side effects like Weakness, low level of red blood cells, Allergic reactions.
So can baby food products be preservatives free?
Most pre-packed baby foods found in the market contain just the ingredients listed on the label and no additional preservatives. Baby food should not include any kind of preservatives, salt, sugar, additives, flavors, colors. It is very important to check that the food that you are giving to your baby is preservatives free and does not contain any additives in it.

Its very important that babies get all the essential nutrition which they need at early stage like the vitamins and minerals. Which they can get from fruits or vegetables like apples, mangoes, bananas, pears, sweet potato , spinach. ragi can also be given as that can provide for iron and protein which baby needs, protein help in muscle growth . ragi also keeps the baby full for a longer time.

yes baby foods can be preservatives free if it is made and stored in a very organic and natural way as there are many brands put there which are preservatives free and are made of completely organic and natural raw materials like raw and fresh fruits and vegetables and are easily available at amazon and first cry and the brands are happa, ormeal etc.
