Trying to Conceive Baby #3

Hi there! I'm not much a newbie here but I have taken quite a break from Mothering in between kiddos. This forum was there for me with baby #1 (who is now 9!), a year-long journey of trying to conceive baby #2 (who just turned 3!) and now we're on the road to baby #3 .

A little background - we've been actively trying for the last year and a half to get pregnant, but with little success. I really think it has to do with the post-pregnancy weight hubby and I both gained (2 kiddos = 30 weight gain for me. Yikes!) anyway, it's time to lose the weight and get back in the game.

We desperately want one more kiddo and I'm hoping its a girl but give me a healthy baby and smooth pregnancy. Looking forward to sharing this journey with other mamas in the same boat. Cheers!

Good to hear from you. And it is amazing to know the connection you have with the forum. :) As you have mentioned, you wanna have more kids and also you have gained weight. It is so wise of you to think to reduce your weight first. Reducing some weight will surely increase your chance of conceiving. To help you in reducing some weight I would like to share with you some of the helpful ways. Try to do exercise daily, preferably yoga. It helps you to maintain your posture and also reduce your weight in less time. It also helps to maintain inner peace. Inner peace has so much importance in the way of conceiving. Once you have a peaceful mind and body, you are good to go for the next one. Try to cut carbs from your diet. Have more water, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Go for a walk daily, breath fresh air and stay happy. Soon you will be in shape to try for the next one. :) Best of luck for future and lots of baby dust on your way.

Hi, dear. I’m so glad to hear that you are trying to get pregnant for the third time. You are such a brave woman. I’m proud of you. I really wish you good luck.
I’ve heard that extra weight can really be a reason of infertility. That’s why it’s a great idea to lose some weight. I’m sure it will help you to conceive faster. Just don’t give up. Also, I recommend you to visit the fertility specialist. You will save some time in case if you need some kind of treatment.
I wasted a lot of time ttc. Doctors kept saying that I was fine. Unfortunately, I was unable to conceive at all. That’s why we had to enter the surrogacy program. So, don’t repeat my mistake. Figure out the reason of unsuccessful ttc and start doing something. I’m sure you will succeed very soon, dear.

Being overweight can affect your chances of conceiving and having a healthy baby. To increase the chances of conception you need to maintain a healthy weight. With healthy eating and regular exercise, it is also important to avoid intense exercise and stress. Talk to your nutritionist to help you plan your diet.

It's always better option to maintain healthy weight while tryiingto conceive as overweight increases the chances of infertility in woman. Take a proper diet and do regular exercise for healthy pregnancy and baby.

I also could conceive with my second child, however with the first one it was easy. I should have been because of stressful work I had in past. I worked as a police officer, so each day was full of worries. I decided that it doesn’t worth it and found a freelance writing possibility. You can Discover More Here, maybe this can suit to you as well. Or maybe you have stress from other aspects of your life and you need to work on them.

Best of luck. Hoping for number two here... first one took seven years. But he’s a wonderful little miracle.

I was doing some yoga asanas a couple times a week during IVF, and all went well, I've got pregnant with my first ovulation, it was like a miracle!

@Monique1908 , wish you all the best! Let God bless you with a wonderful and healthy girl <3

Hi all! How crazy it almost a year to the date, and I'm back again. So here's a brief recap of the last year:

I pretty much spent 2017 tracking and giving up, tracking and giving up, tracking and giving up. I realized that after leaving corporate America for good towards the end of 2017, 2018 was off to a great start but the stress of what next started to kcik in. I launched my own business and pretty much spent the year focused on that. By early summer, I had said forget it. I lost a few pounds and have managed to keep them off but here we are now.

Where are today:
I'm back on the weight-loss band wagon and stress management wagon. I have "broke up" with two clients so as a way of reducing my workload. I'm trying ot maintain a low stress life and get some pounds off. I need to lose about 15 lbs at this point. I met with my doc and she said that weight loss needs to be the first thing we try.
Le sigh...so here we are starting all over again with TTC and I'm ok with that. You have to start somewhere, right?
