Can you tell me what your favorite EC book was? I would prefer to only buy one and really want a comprehensive one that will describe how to get started, how to use the method, as well as how to do it when traveling, running errands, at night, etc. I am more interested in a book that gives a lot of specific guidance. Thanks!!!

Christine Gross-Loh's book is the best practical how-to handbook out there, IMO. if you're only getting one and want practical advice for all ages/stages/approaches, that's definitely the one.

All the ec books are good.

If you'd like to read about the things you mentioned plus medical support, anthropological reports & testimonials, you'll find all that and lots of helpful color photos in the latest version (2008) of "Infant Potty Training: A Gentle and Primeval Method Adapted to Modern Living"
