It seems like nomatter what I do, it just hangs out. I am 4 1/2 months pp. I would think it would go away with diet by now. Ugh. Grrr. Just needed to sound off on it!

It is waaay too soon to be worried about it. Ever heard the expression "nine months to put it on, nine months to take it off" ? I find that it is very true. Exercise, eat well, nurse that baby and the weight will slowly melt off.

I don't know about others but for me it took about 8 months for me to get to back to my pre-pregnancy weight and I never dieted. I know it can be fustrating, I remember how I wanted to fit in my old clothes asap!

I do agree with the previous post though, give it a few more months.

I'm in the same place you are. 5mpp. I think it is important to eat to hunger- within reason while nursing. Don't forget that whatever babe is taking from you, you should be eating. ie. lack of calcium intake will decrease your body's calicum stores then your teeth rot out

I am actually in better shape than before the baby! Exercise ahs made a huge difference and eating better. I do think that I am a little thicker through my upper body and arms- but when we wean I am not sure it will make a difference. If anything, breastfeeding burns more calories and allows you small indulgences (chocolate) without a noticible gain. Good luck and hang in there. Remeber, when you wean you won't have a larger bustline either!
