I've been going through an extremely trying time lately, and I've been having a hard time eating. In the past week I've lost 6 or 7 pounds. I am being careful to keep hydrated, and I'm managing to eat one very small meal each day. I'm also taking a good supplement.
Does anyone know if this will affect my milk supply/ quality? My daughter (4 mos) seems to be doing just fine, but I want to be sure.
Thank you...

You really shouldn't lose more than a pound or two max, in one week while breastfeeding. Losing weight too fast releases toxins that are stored in your fat cells into your breastmilk. In particular are estrogenic toxins like dioxin, herbicides and pesticides, bovine growth hormone, etc., which have been linked to reproductive disorders in both males and females.

((((HUGS)))) hope things settle down for you real soon! It's hard enough just being a new mom.
