I could use the help of some of you herbalist mamas. I used to love drinking Yogi Teas Bedtime tea to help me relax. The label says not to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. I've got a link here to a company that sells it as well as the ingredients. What's in here that's not okay to ingest for the baby? And what would consuming these herbs do to the baby?

Thanks for your help!

Oops! Sorry to be unclear. My ds is almost 6 mos, therefore the bedtime tea question. I'm having a hard time falling asleep and the tea sometimes helps.

Thanks for your response. I'll check out your page as pregnancy/breastfeeding herbs seem to go hand-in-hand.

I'd say it's the St. John's wort and/or the Licorice. There are plenty of sleepy teas without these herbs. Anything with lavender, chamomile, skullcap, valerian, oatstraw, etc. will help you fall asleep easier.

Happily parenting our snuggly wild child since 2007 and her little brother since 2011!
