Vimala in Waldorf - how does this look in graduates?
Our first grade teacher wants to completely skip using the printed upper and lowercase letters and teach just the Vimala Alphabet (which is a 1990s phenomenon and not a traditional Waldorf thing). I'm concerned that after barely getting started on printing in grade one, the students who don't even have those hand movement memorized are going to never use that again and learn completely new movements. And then in the next grade they learn cursive which will be different again. I'm not a fan. Any Waldorf parents want to weigh in?
